Labor Day is a mid-year reset button. It functions a bit like New Year’s Day 2.0, except with the abundance of fresh produce and bright, crisp days to fuel the good, let’s-get-it-done energy.
Were you swept up by the excitement of the Olympics this summer? I was completely awed and inspired by what is possible when humans commit time, energy, and attention to their passion.
My thoughts keep coming back to these amazing feats. I admit I’ve been willing to run just a little farther on my morning runs. I think of the mindset of those athletes. To reach for the stars like they did, they had to believe their daily actions would make all the difference, things like what they ate and their dedication during a workout. Not everyone took home a medal, and yet, their commitment to their craft created an amazing event. Every athlete was worth paying attention to because they showed up determined to be and do their best.
This fall, in particular, is a great opportunity to commit or re-commit to fueling the best in ourselves. I personally like to use back-to-school energy of fall to set a short-term goal or two. Ones that will set me up for additional success come January. Why not get started now, while there is warmth and light? Better now, instead of beginning something new while the days are cold and dark.
Coaching creates clarity and momentum:
In spite of the desire for something different, it is easy to feel the twinge of anxiety or fear when stepping out towards something new. Coaching helps you create a roadmap, guiding you towards where you want to go. With clarity comes the calm assurance you are on the right track.
Coaching creates momentum for transformation. It is about commitment to positive habits, ones nurturing your best self. It is about getting comfortable with the changes you need and want to make, ones ultimately in support of your dreams. Transformation happens as you take committed action towards who you want to become.
Coaching is about you:
Coaching is about YOUR personal transformation, about discovering your full potential and then cultivating it. While goal setting or intention setting is a key aspect of coaching (at least with me), this is simply a mechanism for living into your best self, the one committed to being brave, being confident, being whoever you want to become.
Coaching creates the space for YOU, in your busy schedule, to reflect, to explore, to design, and to implement your next steps.
How would you like to feel during the next month, in the next 3 months, a year from now?
Energized, organized, relaxed, happy, confident? Are you ready to be more compassionate with yourself? Are you ready to kick your mean negative voices the curb, once and for all? Are you ready to push through your fear to the other side where your greatness exists?
However you want to feel, scheduling a COMPLIMENTARY Ideas and Inspiration session is a great place to begin.
Still on the fence?
Here is something to consider…
Do you know who coaches turn to when we want to get to the next level of personal insight or improve a skill? Not surprisingly, another coach!
Last September of 2015, one of the goals I set for myself included conquering my fear of public speaking. With that intention firmly in place I asked a speaker/coach I admire, to not only coach me through the process of creating my first keynote style speech, but to allow me to practice it with her. Our sessions provided me with a place to talk about my fear, and receive the support I needed to take the small, baby steps forward. Coaching with this mentor allowed me to turn towards my fear, acknowledge it, and move through it to the other side.
What a gift I gave myself. By being vulnerable enough to ask for the guidance I needed, I became BRAVE.
At the beginning of 2016, I filled a presentation space with my friends, promising them food and drink in exchange for listening to my first presentation. I did fine. And, truthfully, I was exceedingly and noticeably nervous. I gave my third presentation last week. And, this time, I did GREAT. The nerves were (mostly) gone. While it wasn’t perfect, I am now a much more capable and confident public speaker.
That, my friends, is the power of setting September goals, and getting the support one needs through coaching!
Let’s get started:
I’ve blocked off Sunday, September 18th and Sunday, October 2nd for members of my community, YOU, to try out coaching with me.
If we are a good fit, then we can discuss ways we can super charge your life with some more sessions.
I have a few openings in my fall coaching schedule. I am excited to work with individuals ready to create something new. My favorite clients are curious and committed to exploration, expansion, and creation.
